Ad UP Hawaii to offer non-profits PR makeovers

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – This Saturday, Ad Up Hawaii is offering non-profits a chance to work with some of the state’s best public relations professionals to learn more about getting the media they need. Low cost seminars ($10) are available to non-profit staffers, and a competition to craft the best media campaign for four local non-profits will provide lots of excitement.

Ad UP Hawaii is the first of its kind program in Honolulu. They are bringing together the top advertising and marketing companies in Hawaii, as well as top notch freelance design, ad and public relations talent to participate in a one-day competition to see who can create the best marketing campaign for a group of preselected non-profit organizations.

This year, the non-profits that will be getting their own “PR Makeover” will be Habitat for Humanity, Hawaii Literacy, Kumu Kahua Theatre, and Good Beginnings Alliance.

But on the same day, valuable marketing seminars are being offered for any non-profits who are interested in attending. Cost is only $10 per person.

The event is put on by the kokua.org community, sponsored by Pro Service Hawaii, and is being held on Saturday October 4th at the Box Jelly, Hawaii’s first co-working space in Kaakako and also a title sponsor.
